UPDATE:
FRANKFURT 2005 - HAGSTROM UK REPORT ON THE
SHOW - AND THE GUITARS!
This section is purely to provide pictorial representations of the new models. I will not go into great detail here, as I have not played the models, and there is already a dedicated site to visit with much more information. www.hagstromguitars.com VIKING - SWEDE

DELUXE The bridge and tail lack a little detail, maybe the tail is due to the prototype model, but the bridge although very functional loses some splendour without its rosewood plinth, harping back to the very first Vikings. The bound F holes are a pleasure to see, nice detail often missing from the originals - intentionally. A fully bound neck and sharp headstock set this off well, but it would have been nice to see the inset border line on the pickguard having taken this trouble with the body binding. The single toggle switch for pickup selection is provided along the lines of the early version Viking. Well lets face it, how many people use the separate tone switching as well as
the tone dials?

| There's nothing like a REAL original Swedish made Hagstrom (and there are loads around), but if it 'floats your boat', or you can't find an original then who are we to say? | |
