Futurama Coronado Bass IV string

THIS HISTORIC BASS IS FOR SALE

This started out as one of the hundreds of enquiries we get here at Hagstrom UK.
A long time owner decides to find out what he's been playing (or maybe just holding onto) for all these years.

Coronado IV (Futurama)

(June 2006)

Hi all!

Been meaning to send some pics of my Coronado IV for some time, and have now finally got round to it!

I bought it from a friend's brother (I think) for about £20.00 in 1970/71. It saw mainly years of use in the folky band I played in up until 1996. It's been languishing in a wardrobe since then!

You can just make out in the pics the serial number of 550 014, but I have no idea when that dates from. I live, and always have, in North Essex, not far from Braintree where Selmer's UK offices were.

Hope people find it of interest. It's rather battered now, but will still pick out some notes if needed!

All the best, John

...then it joined the Family here at Hagström UK

John made a very good investment back in 1971 ! It's a great player, and despite the knocks and bruises, it has all the warmth and punch you need to bdm-bdm to your hearts content for hours! (just ask Chris!)

Notice the high grade Bi-Sonic pickups? Well they were way ahead of their time and are being made again - see links page

There's nothing like a REAL original Swedish made Hagstrom (and there are loads around), but if it 'floats your boat', or you can't find an original then who are we to say?

Plenty has been said already and
will be said forever forward probably.
Only you know what's right for you!
