Bell Decals are used for all kinds of model, industrial and of
course guitar text and image transfers.
The decal when placed (backing paper down) for about 1 min max onto shallow
water, releases the bond,
and activates the adhesive allowing you to lift the two out, then slide the
decal off the backing paper on to
the desired surface. Position carefully, dab lightly to release any air bubble,
allow to dry for a few minutes.
Wood (plain or varnished) is a particularly good surface. Protect further with
spray-on acrylic clear lacquer.
It took a long time to perfect the decal, and there were many
trial versions before I was happy to offer these
for use on the old masterpieces!
Early test versions 2003. They hold perfectly even round corners
and no unsightly lifting edges as with self adhesive decals.

NOTE: We sometimes have Silver ones as well as Black ones
now, the switch poles are all Black.
If your guitar has this type of switch it is a simple swap. If
your guitar has the rounder shorter
slide switches these are still perfect replacements. The only difference is the
bolt hole size onto the pickguard.
If you do not have the correct size screws/bolts the simple solution is a 'blob'
of thick 'super-glue' in the switch hole,
spray on an accelerator spray (instantly hardens the material), then drill a
smaller hole - no waiting around,
no new screws/bolts/nuts etc. It's been done lots of times, it's easy - and it
works VERY well!
The thick super-glue and spray are available from any good
hardware or modelling store, and are extremely useful anyway!!!
These switches are
suitable for Kent/Hagstrom/Futurama plastic front models,
and for any other model such as H-II and H-III that use this switch type.
Finally, these switches are the correct depth underneath.
Fender Jaguar switches are too deep for the recess inside the guitar, so
unless you fancy
digging out more wood inside your Hag, this is the solution for your scratchy
old switches!
