From the Selmer Catalogue (UK) 1964

Enter the Hagstroms!
These actually the second generation, gone is the vinyl back and the acrylate front was much
simpler, yet there was that jack socket standing proud, ready to get a crack or a bash! OOps!
Solid bodies are here, and the start of the Hagstrom HI / II / III era.
Note the ornate, if fragile tuners - similar to those on many Hofners.... hmmm.
Oh yes there was the Guild Cromwell too (go see)
The pickups are the same in principle as the glitter guitars of 1958, but the rest had changed a lot!
Real collector items now, these are as good as they look, and a great play still today.
