Catalogue text (Left to right): "Swede" - The brand new - but still traditional - Hagstrom Electric guitar named "The Swede". Two very special HAGSTROM pickups, "anti-hum", sensitive, and with peak-efficiency. Both pickups activated by separate volume and tone controls and by two 3 position switches. The upper switch for the tone - sharp, mellow, and deep pre-fixed levels, independent of the pickups in use - and the lower switch for the choice of pickups - lead pickup, rhythm (both in use), and bass pickup, enabling numerous combinations and possibilities when mixed with the tone control. A perfect intonation is made possible by the unique bridge which allows individual adjustment of each string horizontally and vertically. This guitar features an ebony neck. D'Aquisto" - HAGSTROM invited the most experienced guitar-builder of the
20th century, Jimmy D'Aquisto, to make an exclusive guitar. A combination of
century old precision in guitar making and modern workmanship resulted in this
electric-acoustic guitar, which we have named HAGSTROM JIMMY. To start from the
top, the tuning machines secure a precise tuning and a steady position. The
pick-ups are, once again, a master piece, specially made to pick up the various
moods of the player, and responding so fast and accurate that even the most
critical artist finds it hard to believe - and they are of course "anti-hum".
The bridge enables the most precise micro-adjustment of each string horizontally
as well as vertically. The two 3 position switches are for the tone and choice

Also a 3-position switch enabling a choice of pickup sounds. A treble position to create a vigorous bright rock sound. A neutral position for a more round and warm tone, often preferred for rhythm chords, and a bass position for the lush and lovely, but still melodic blues sound. Combined with adjustment of the tone controls, the choice of sounds becomes infinite. Additionally a special HAGSTROM "On-Off" switch enables the player to disconnect the pickups without touching the cable and the amplifier, and prevents the pickups from producing unwanted sounds during the stand-by period.
